Summary :

This is an Application Developer role focusing on building and deploying GenAI applications using Python (Flask/FastAPI) and Vertex AI (Gemini). Key technical requirements include strong experience with RESTful APIs, prompt engineering, RAG/Vertex AI Search, and data management using BigQuery and SQL.

Experience deploying on GCP (App Engine Standard) is essential. This is not a Data Science/model-training role but emphasizes application development, orchestration, and analyzing model quality metrics (precision, recall, etc.)

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Flask / FastAPI.

- Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating external/cloud APIs.

- Hands-on work with Vertex AI (Gemini) or similar LLM platforms.

- Practical prompt engineering for classification, analytics, and chat use cases.

- Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Vertex AI Search.

- Good understanding of precision, recall, F1, confusion matrix and how to compute/interpret them.

- Strong SQL skills and experience with Cloud SQL (or similar RDBMS) and BigQuery (or similar data warehouses).

- Experience with concurrency/async patterns in Python for batch or high-throughput processing.

- Experience deploying and operating apps on GCP, especially App Engine Standard, with Cloud SQL / BigQuery integration.

- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and debugging production systems.

This is not a model research / model-training Data Scientist role. It focuses on application development and GenAI orchestration, with comfort in analyzing model outputs and quality metrics.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Exposure to other GCP services : Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud Logging, Cloud Functions.

- Experience with Google Apps Script for scheduled data ingestion or workflow automation into Cloud SQL / BigQuery.

- Experience building dashboards or reports (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI) on top of BigQuery for KPIs.

- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and production observability.

- Familiarity with responsible AI and safety guidelines.
