Role Overview :

As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in understanding, analyzing, and translating business needs into technical requirements that align with the companys existing systems and infrastructure.

You will work closely with business users, project managers, technical teams, and quality assurance to ensure successful delivery of IT solutions.

Your efforts will guide the development lifecycle and support project completion while maintaining clear communication across stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

Requirement Gathering & Analysis :

- Engage with business users and stakeholders to understand their needs, goals, and constraints.

- Clearly document business requirements in a structured manner that can be consumed by technical teams.

- Translate high-level business inputs into detailed and actionable requirement definitions that respect the current technology environment.

Business Process Analysis :

- Analyze existing business workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities.

- Develop use case models, showing step-by-step interactions between users and systems.

- Create activity dependency diagrams and other process models that visually represent current and desired future states.

Solution Design Interpretation :

- Work with the development team to explain business requirements in the context of the system.

- Ensure that functional specifications align with business expectations and technological feasibility.

- Support the design of IT solutions that meet business goals while complying with existing standards.

Project & Development Support :

- Provide guidance throughout the application development life cycle.

- Act as a key communicator between business stakeholders and the development team.

- Support junior developers by offering context on business requirements and clarifying expectations.

Project Planning & Estimation :

- After gathering and understanding client requirements, estimate project efforts including timelines and costs.

- Participate in planning activities to ensure realistic delivery schedules and resource allocation.

Quality Assurance & Testing Collaboration :

- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to define test planning scope based on requirements.

- Ensure that test scenarios cover all critical business workflows and expected functionality.

- Stakeholder Communication

- Serve as a communication channel with Project Managers and clients, especially those based internationally (e.g., US Project Managers/Clients).

- Maintain clarity, responsiveness, and professionalism when interacting with different stakeholders.

Drive Delivery & Completion :

- Monitor progress and follow up on actions necessary to drive project completion within predefined timelines.

- Support team members to ensure requirements are implemented correctly and delivered successfully.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Educational Qualification :

- M.Tech / MCA / M.Sc (IT) / B.Tech or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines.

Experience :

- Minimum of 2 years working as a Business Analyst, preferably in software or product development.

- Prior experience working with .NET applications or in environments requiring strong business process understanding is desirable.

Technical & Analytical Skills :

- Ability to interpret, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.

- Experience developing use cases, process flows, and activity diagrams.

- Comfortable working within existing technological frameworks when designing solutions.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills :

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface with both technical teams and business users.

- Ability to clearly explain requirements and business logic to diverse audiences.

Teamwork :

- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and project managers.

- Ability to provide support and guidance to less experienced colleagues.
