Role Summary :

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to own and continuously improve the reliability, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency of our cloud infrastructure. This role partners closely with application engineers to ensure fast, safe, and repeatable delivery of production systems.

You will operate Kubernetes workloads on AWS EKS, maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and ensure high availability of services backed by PostgreSQL.

Technology Stack :

- CI/CD : Bitbucket Pipelines.

- Databases : PostgreSQL.

- Languages : Go / Golang.

- Observability : CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry.

Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure & Kubernetes :

- Operate and scale Kubernetes (EKS) clusters in AWS.

- Manage AWS resources (EC2, RDS/Postgres, S3, IAM, VPCs, Load Balancers).

- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery readiness.

- Maintain Infrastructure-as-Code consistency across environments.

CI/CD & Deployment :

- Own and maintain Bitbucket Pipelines for build, test, and deploy workflows.

- Debug failed builds, flaky tests, and deployment issues.

- Optimize pipelines via caching, parallelization, and tooling improvements.

- Support safe deployment strategies (rolling, blue/green, canary).

Monitoring & Incident Response :

- Monitor health system via dashboards and alerts.

- Investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis.

- Review logs and metrics for anomalies and performance bottlenecks.

- Validate backups and restoration procedures.

Security & Compliance :

- Rotate credentials, secrets, and API keys.

- Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities and CVEs.

- Review IAM roles and access controls for least privilege enforcement.

- Support SOC2 and security audits and remediation efforts.

- Review findings from security tooling and penetration tests.

Automation & Optimization :

- Automate repetitive operational tasks.

- Identify AWS cost-optimization opportunities.

- Tune performance of Kubernetes workloads and PostgreSQL databases.

Collaboration & Documentation :

- Partner with engineers to support deployments and debugging.

- Participate in standups, retrospectives, and postmortems.

- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.

- Continuously improve DevOps workflows and tooling.

Required Qualifications :

- 4+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering role.

- Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS).

- Production CI/CD experience (Bitbucket Pipelines preferred).

- Strong Linux, networking, and containerization knowledge.

- Experience supporting PostgreSQL in production.

- Proficiency in Go or another scripting/programming language.

- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident response.

Nice-to-Have :

- Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).

- SOC2, HIPAA, or regulated environment experience.

- Kubernetes cost and performance optimization.

- High-availability SaaS or scale-up experience.

- AWS security tooling (Guard Duty, Inspector, Trusted Advisor).

Work Timings : 7 AM 3 PM EST.
