Cognine - Data Governance Consultant - SQL/ETL

Role Description :

This is a full-time on-site role for a Data Governance Consultant located in Hyderabad.

The Data Governance Consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing data governance frameworks, developing data quality standards, and managing data-related policies.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline data management processes, contributing to ETL processes, and supporting data modeling efforts.

The consultant will also ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and improve overall data accuracy and security.

Qualifications :

- 5 to 10 years of experience in a data governance or data management role.

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, metadata management, and business glossary implementation.

- Strong experience working with SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and rule creation.

- Expertise in designing and executing Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and maintaining traceability across systems.

- Proven experience working with Purview Data Catalog for asset discovery, lineage, and classification.

- Strong understanding of Data Domain Design, with exposure to data product definition, data quality frameworks, and policy-driven governance.

- Skilled in implementing and maintaining metadata management, business glossary, and data stewardship workflows within the Purview ecosystem.
