Role & responsibilities :

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Testing Portfolio Director to lead a portfolio of enterprise testing engagements across multiple clients and business domains. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving delivery excellence, test automation adoption, financial performance, client satisfaction, and organizational growth.

This role requires a strong blend of Quality Engineering leadership, large-scale program management, automation expertise, stakeholder management, and executive-level client engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Portfolio Management :

- Manage multiple testing programs and projects across various accounts and delivery teams.

- Own portfolio delivery, quality, financials, utilization, and customer satisfaction.

- Drive governance, risk management, escalation management, and operational excellence across engagements.

- Ensure successful execution of projects within schedule, budget, and quality targets.

Automation & Quality Engineering Leadership :

- Define and execute enterprise-wide test automation and quality engineering strategies.

- Drive automation transformation, CI/CD integration, shift-left testing, and AI-led testing initiatives.

- Establish reusable automation frameworks and accelerate automation adoption across projects.

- Track automation ROI, coverage, productivity improvements, and efficiency gains.

- Provide technical leadership on Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Tosca, API Automation, Performance Testing, and cloud-based testing solutions.

Client & Stakeholder Management :

- Act as a trusted advisor to client leadership teams.

- Lead executive governance meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and steering committee discussions.

- Identify opportunities for business growth, transformation, and service expansion.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with client executives and key stakeholders.

- Manage customer escalations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Delivery Excellence :

- Establish portfolio-level KPIs, SLAs, quality metrics, and governance mechanisms.

- Monitor project health, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.

- Ensure compliance with organizational quality processes and industry standards.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across testing engagements.

People Leadership :

- Lead, mentor, and develop Testing Managers, Test Architects, Automation Leads, and QE teams.

- Build succession plans and capability development programs.

- Drive talent acquisition, competency development, and retention strategies.

- Foster a high-performance and innovation-driven culture.

Financial Management :

- Own portfolio P&L, revenue growth, margins, forecasting, and resource utilization.

- Drive productivity improvements and cost optimization initiatives.

- Support business case development, estimations, and solutioning for new opportunities.

Business Development & Presales :

- Support RFPs, proposals, solution presentations, and client workshops.

- Collaborate with sales and account teams to identify growth opportunities.

- Present testing transformation strategies and automation roadmaps to prospective clients.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

- Experience in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, and Program Delivery.

- Years managing large testing portfolios and enterprise clients.

- Proven experience managing multi-million-dollar testing engagements.

- Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and Quality Engineering practices.

- Demonstrated success in leading global onsite-offshore delivery teams.
