Job Description :

As a Senior SDET, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust automated test solutions for the AVEVA applications.

The role requires strong software engineering and test automation skills, with hands-on experience developing automation frameworks, test tools, and automated test scenarios.

You will work across applications, operating systems, and CI/CD environments, including Linux, to troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and scalability of the product.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance SDET-level test automation frameworks and tools for the E3D Design application.

- Develop reliable, maintainable, and scalable automated tests using appropriate programming languages and automation technologies.

- Analyze product requirements and technical specifications to identify comprehensive test scenarios and automation opportunities.

- Build reusable automation components and utilities to improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and maintainability.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and ensure reliable execution across supported environments.

- Work hands-on with Linux operating systems, including installation/configuration, command-line utilities, shell scripting, process management, file systems, permissions, environment configuration, and troubleshooting.

- Develop and execute automated tests in Linux-based environments and investigate issues related to application behaviour, dependencies, configuration, and system resources.

- Strong knowledge of AI agents and agentic workflows, with the ability to translate testing requirements into scalable AI-driven automation solutions.

- Troubleshoot and debug automation failures and product issues across applications, framework, and operating-system layers.

- Analyze logs, crash reports, test results, and system behaviour to identify root causes and work with development teams to resolve defects.

- Contribute to improving test automation reliability by identifying and reducing flaky tests.

- Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering best practices for automation code.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional and distributed teams to plan, execute, and deliver testing activities within agreed timelines.

Desired Experience :

- 8 - 12 years of experience in software testing, test automation, SDET, or a related software engineering role.

- Strong hands-on experience in software test automation and automation framework development.

- Strong programming experience in C#, .NET, Python, or other relevant programming languages.

- Hands-on experience working with Linux operating systems, including command-line operations, shell scripting, process management, file permissions, environment variables, and log analysis.

- Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks for Desktop and Web applications.

- Good understanding of CI/CD practices and Azure DevOps.

- Experience with source control, code reviews, build systems, and software development practices.

- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, defect lifecycle, and risk-based test coverage.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

- Ability to independently investigate complex technical problems, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
