About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Azure Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud security policies and compliance frameworks within our Azure environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, cloud governance, and policy automation, with hands-on experience in enterprise-grade Azure implementations.
Key Responsibilities :
Cloud Security Design & Implementation :
- Design, execute, and support IT cloud security solutions across Azure environments for global or regional business operations.
Azure Policy Management :
- Create and implement Azure Policies and Initiatives to maintain consistent security and compliance across cloud resources.
- Develop and maintain custom Azure Policy definitions to enforce tagging standards, location constraints, and other organizational requirements.
- Utilize Azure Policy regulatory compliance built-ins to assess and remediate non-compliant resources.
Governance, Risk & Compliance :
- Develop and maintain documentation required for compliance audits, risk assessments, and security reviews.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing evidence and control documentation.
- Ensure alignment with security best practices, compliance readiness, and governance frameworks.
Automation & Integration :
- Integrate Policy-as-Code within CI/CD pipelines using Terraform or similar tools.
- Support infrastructure automation and continuous compliance monitoring processes.
Collaboration :
- Work closely with IT, DevOps, and Security teams to identify security gaps, propose enhancements, and ensure robust cloud security operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 5- 8 years of overall experience in technology infrastructure.
- Minimum of 3- 4 years of hands-on experience in designing, executing, and supporting Azure-based IT cloud solutions for large multinational organizations.
- Proficiency in Azure Policy, Initiatives, Regulatory Compliance, and Policy-as-Code concepts.
- Strong understanding of cloud governance, risk management, and compliance standards.
- Experience in audits, risk assessments, and security documentation.
- Working knowledge of Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Microsoft Certified : Azure Security Engineer Associate certification or equivalent.
- Experience with other cloud security frameworks or tools (e.g., AWS Config, GCP Policy Analyzer).
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST compliance standards.
