Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced COBOL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of COBOL programming concepts, best practices, and debugging skills, along with the ability to work in a collaborative, Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using COBOL.

- Ensure adherence to code quality, formatting, and software development best practices.

- Write and execute test cases within COBOLs testing ecosystem.

- Apply architectural patterns and refactor code for improved maintainability.

- Debug and troubleshoot issues, including memory and concurrency problems.

- Work collaboratively in Agile teams, participating in planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Experience

- COBOL Expertise : Minimum 2 years of hands-on COBOL programming experience.

- Total Experience : At least 3 years in software development.

- Strong understanding of multi-threading and asynchronous programming in COBOL.

- Proficient in debugging, especially for memory and concurrency-related issues.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with COBOL frameworks and libraries.

- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Strong experience with COBOL programming language concepts.

- Knowledge of code quality, formatting, and best practices in software development.

- Familiarity with COBOLs testing ecosystem.
