Cobalt - SAP ABAP/HANA Developer

Were looking for an experienced SAP ABAP HANA Developer to join our core product engineering team. The ideal candidate is deeply hands-on with ABAP programming, HANA optimization, CDS views, and OData services, and has a solid understanding of S/4HANA architecture and performance-driven development. This role is purely technical focused on custom development within SAP S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement custom programs, enhancements, and reports in SAP S/4HANA using ABAP and ABAP on HANA best practices.

- Develop and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) Views, AMDPs, and Open SQL for performance improvement and real-time analytics.

- Build OData services for SAP Fiori and other frontend applications.

- Work on RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) across SAP modules (MM, SD, FI, PP).

- Perform code optimization, debugging, and performance tuning in HANA-based systems.

- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions.

- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and ensure adherence to SAP development standards.

- Participate in unit testing, code reviews, and peer programming for quality assurance.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 4- 6 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, including 3+ years in ABAP on HANA.

- Core ABAP (Reports, Module Pool, Enhancements, Exits, BADIs, BAPIs)

- ABAP on HANA (CDS Views, AMDP, Open SQL, HANA Modeling basics)

- OData service creation and consumption

- SmartForms / Adobe Forms / ALV / Performance tuning

- Deep understanding of S/4HANA data models and HANA database layer.

- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Familiarity with Git / CTS+ / transport management and Agile delivery processes.
