Role : Reporting Specialist (Power BI & Workday)

Mode : Remote

Type : Contractor (8 hrs in a day)

Key Qualifications & Technical Requirements :

Workday Reporting Expertise (Must-Have) :

- 3+ years of hands-on experience building Workday Custom Reports (Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports).

- Proficiency with Workday Calculated Fields, business objects, and data sources.

- Solid understanding of core business management reports (HCM/Workforce analytics, Projects, or Financial actuals).

- Proven experience exposing Workday custom reports via RaaS (Reporting as a Service) or REST APIs for external consumption.

Data Lake & Ingestion "Plumbing" (Must-Have) :

- Demonstrated experience ingesting external API/RaaS data into a cloud data lake/warehouse (e.g., Microsoft Fabric / Lakehouse / OneLake, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake).

- Strong SQL skills for relational modeling, transformation logic, and data staging.

Power BI & Semantic Modeling (Must-Have) :

- 5+ years of extensive experience in Power BI Desktop & Service.

- Mastery in DAX, Power Query (M), Star Schema design, and dataset performance tuning.

Nice-to-Have :

- Experience with Power Automate for flow alerts, notifications, and task orchestration.

- Familiarity with Workday Security Groups and replicating role-based/row-level security in Power BI.
