Job Description :

Role & responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java.

- Build and enhance test automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.

- Work extensively with Postman for API testing and validation.

- Create and execute automated API test suites.

- Analyze requirements and independently define test scenarios, test cases, and test data.

- Identify, document, track, and verify defects using bug-tracking tools.

- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

- Take ownership of QA activities and deliver testing tasks independently.

- Stay updated with modern QA tools, automation practices, and testing technologies.

Preferred candidate profile :

- 8+ years of experience in QA/testing, with strong automation experience.

- Strong programming experience in Java.

- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Rest Assured, or similar.

- Strong experience with Postman and API testing.

- Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, authentication, and response validation.

- Experience creating automation scripts from scratch.

- Ability to design scalable and maintainable automation frameworks.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar.

- Experience with version control tools like Git.

- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.

- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of assigned QA work.

Good to Have :

- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or similar.

- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Experience with containerized environments such as Docker.

- Knowledge of security testing basics.

- Experience with modern QA practices including shift-left testing, contract testing, and CI/CD.
