Position : Scrum Master

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly capable and practical Scrum Master to guide our Enterprise AI/ML team. This specialized team works as an internal center of excellence, turning complex business problems into working, high-value AI solutions. This is not a typical software development team; our work involves a mix of business analysis, data exploration, experimentation, model development, and integration with a complex set of enterprise systems.

Required (Must-Haves) :

- Valid Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM, PSM I/II, or equivalent).

- Clear experience working with teams focused on data and technical work (e.g., Data Science, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or AI/ML). Experience within a large company or IT department is a strong benefit.

- A practical, flexible approach to Agile. You must know the reasons behind Scrum principles and be able to adjust the practice to fit the team's unique context (e.g., managing exploratory research tasks, connecting with older systems).

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Proven ability to talk confidently with business leaders, analysts, and other IT managers.

- Expert-level knowledge of Agile/Scrum concepts, practices, and theory.

- Experience with Agile management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).

Preferred (Nice-to-Haves) :

- Experience with Kanban, as AI/ML teams often use a mix of Scrum and Kanban (ScrumBan).

- Familiarity with the enterprise AI/ML project stages (e.g., finding use cases, getting data, model development, integration, MLOps).

- A basic understanding of data science or machine learning. (You don't need to be able to code, but you must be able to lead discussions about data pipelines, model training, and APIs).

- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) or ITIL concepts and how they relate to Agile development.

Key Responsibilities :

- Enable a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and transparency across cross-functional teams.

- Adapt Scrum principles pragmatically to suit the unique workflow of AI/ML initiativesbalancing exploration, research, and iterative development.

- Partner with Product Owners, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to define priorities and manage team capacity.

- Remove impediments, optimize processes, and enable delivery of high-value AI solutions.

- Ensure alignment and integration with enterprise systems and IT functions.

- Communicate effectively with business leaders, analysts, and IT managers to provide visibility and progress updates.

- Manage tracking, dashboards, and reporting using Agile tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.

- Coach team members on Agile values, practices, and mindset in a non-dogmatic, realistic approach.
