Designation : D365 F&O Finance Functional Architect / Lead
Experience : 7 to 10 Years
Industry : Microsoft Dynamics 365 / ERP Consulting
Role Purpose :
Lead and deliver end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations finance implementations by providing functional architecture, solution leadership, and business process alignment across global and multi-country projects.
Key Roles & Responsibilities :
- Lead functional implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations across finance and related modules
- Drive at least three end-to-end D365 F&O implementations from requirement gathering to go-live and hypercare
- Analyze business processes and translate requirements into scalable D365 F&O solutions
- Prepare and review Functional Design Documents and solution blueprints
- Configure, test, and deploy D365 F&O finance modules as per business needs
- Collaborate with technical teams to guide customizations, integrations, and extensions
- Lead UAT planning, execution, issue resolution, and business sign-offs
- Provide handholding support during go-live and hypercare phases
- Manage ticket-based production support with defined SLAs
- Train and mentor key users and internal team members
- Support data migration activities using Excel templates and data management framework
- Ensure adherence to ERP implementation methodology and best practices
- Lead and develop functional teams including capability and learning plans
Key Result Areas (KRAs) :
- Successful delivery of D365 F&O finance implementations on time and within scope
- Solution quality and alignment with business and regulatory requirements
- Client satisfaction during implementation, go-live, and post-go-live support
- Reduction in post-go-live issues and SLA adherence
- Effective collaboration with technical and project teams
- Functional team capability development and knowledge transfer
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Engineering, or related discipline
Experience Requirements :
- 7 to 10 years of experience in Dynamics AX or D365 Finance & Operations functional consulting
- Completion of at least three full-cycle D365 F&O implementations
- Experience in global or multi-country ERP deployments
- Strong exposure to finance and related functional modules
Skill Sets & Competencies :
- Deep functional expertise in D365 F&O Finance and core ERP modules
- Strong business process understanding and solution architecture capability
- Expertise in requirement analysis, FDD preparation, and solution configuration
- Experience working with technical teams on customizations and integrations
- Knowledge of ERP implementation methodologies and best practices
- Experience in data migration and data management using Excel templates
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Team leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Ability to manage UAT, go-live, and post-implementation support phases
