Essential Skills :

- SQL Proficiency : Ability to write and understand basic SQL queries for troubleshooting and administrative tasks.

- Basic Backup & Recovery Knowledge : Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies for both Oracle (RMAN) and PostgreSQL (pg_dump, pg_basebackup).

- Performance Monitoring & Tuning : Basic experience in monitoring and improving database performance.

- Operating System Knowledge : Familiarity with Linux/Unix or Windows operating systems where Oracle and PostgreSQL are deployed.

- Attention to Detail : Ability to work with accuracy and follow standard operating procedures.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Database Tools : Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), pgAdmin, or other database management and monitoring tools.

- Scripting Knowledge : Basic knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell) for automating database tasks.

- Database Security Practices : Understanding of basic security principles such as user authentication, roles, and permissions.

- Version Control & Change Management : Experience in working with version-controlled environments and knowledge of change management processes
