Position Title : Cloud Security Engineer.

Work Arrangement : Remote India.

Role Overview :

The Cloud Security Engineer implements and manages security controls across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.

This role focuses on identity security, cloud threat protection, governance, compliance, and supporting remediation activities as part of CloudGates managed security services.

The engineer works closely with customers to ensure secure operations and alignment with Microsoft best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Implement and manage security configurations across Azure and Microsoft 365 tenants.

- Deploy and configure Microsoft Defender XDR (Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365).

- Configure and operationalize Microsoft Sentinel, including analytics rules, connectors, workbooks, and incident response workflows.

- Support governance and compliance initiatives (Azure Policies, RBAC, Conditional Access, Zero Trust).

- Monitor and investigate security alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities.

- Conduct remediation activities to address security misconfigurations and risks.

- Assist in security assessments, reporting, and customer workshops.

- Support deployment of Azure Landing Zones and security baselines.

- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to implement secure architectures and best practices.

- Stay updated on Microsoft security technologies, threat patterns, and compliance frameworks.

Required Qualifications :

- 2-3+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or Microsoft security operations.

- Strong understanding of Azure AD / Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, and Identity Protection.

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender XDR components and Microsoft Sentinel.

- Knowledge of cloud governance, policies, RBAC, PIM, and Zero Trust frameworks.

- Familiarity with KQL, incident response processes, and SIEM/SOAR concepts.

- Experience working with or for a Microsoft Partner is a strong plus.

- Preferred certifications : AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300, MS-102, AZ-900.
