Cloud Operations Engineer :

Role Overview :

As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud infrastructure.

Your day-to-day will involve monitoring system performance, troubleshooting incidents, automating operational tasks, and collaborating with development and security teams to optimize our cloud environment.

You will work closely with software engineers, security specialists, and product managers to deliver robust and efficient cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications proactively to identify and resolve potential issues, ensuring high availability and optimal performance for all users.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors for the engineering teams.

- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) for our customers.

- Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards to protect sensitive data and ensure the integrity of our cloud environment for the organization.

- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability, providing guidance on cloud-native architectures and best practices for the software development lifecycle.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure operational consistency across the team.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to manage and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

- Proven expertise in automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef, improving efficiency and reducing manual errors.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring customer satisfaction.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, security specialists, and product managers, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

- Deep understanding of security best practices and compliance standards, such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2, to protect sensitive data and ensure the integrity of the cloud environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, providing a solid foundation for understanding complex technical concepts and applying them to real-world problems.

- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing business needs.

- 7-10 years of relevant experience.
