Notice Period : Immediate to 15 days

About the Role :

- We are seeking a hands-on, self-driven Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team and take ownership of the operational excellence of our Azure-based IoT backend. You will play a key role in improving resilience, scalability and cost-efficiency of our cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on optimizing our Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) cluster.

Responsibilities :

Build, operate and optimize our Azure-based IoT backend infrastructure, including :

- AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) -> upcoming GitOps, ArgoCD, Istio

- MySQL and Cosmos DB

- Azure WAF (Web Application Firewall) used in AAG

- Azure Application Gateway / Azure Application Gateway for containers (upcoming)

- Azure Batch (upcoming)

- Azure Front Door (upcoming)

- Storage Accounts

- Virtual Machines (for Batch, AKS and Minikube Developer Testing)

- Prometheus and Graphana

- Vnets

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance system performance, availability, costs, security and reliability.

- Implement best practices for cloud operations, including automation, observability, resilience and cost optimization.

- Collaborate closely with development and product teams to ensure smooth deployments and efficient incident response.

- Drive improvements in operability, including better alerting, logging, and self-healing mechanisms.

- Take ownership of all used Azure Services, including scaling, upgrades, networking, and security.

- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines to streamline operations. Azure DevOps, Jenkins.

- Monitor and continuously perform vulnerability updates for all system components not managed by Azure Platform on its own (like but not limited to AKS node OS, AKS Container OS, Libs bound into the applications (Thin Deployment) application is provided by Development Team via Artifactory (upcoming).

- Actively participate in team discussions, share knowledge, and support a collaborative engineering culture.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- 8 plus years of IT experience and specialized in Azure Cloud Infra and AKS.

- AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) -> upcoming GitOps, ArgoCD, Istio

- MySQL and Cosmos DB

- Azure WAF (Web Application Firewall) used in AAG

- Azure Application Gateway / Azure Application Gateway for containers (upcoming)

- Azure Batch (upcoming)
