Cloud Migration Engineer - Azure/Cloudera

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement Azure landing zones, networking, security, and governance frameworks.

- Plan and execute Cloudera cluster migration from on-premises or other cloud platforms to Azure.

- Optimize and re-architect workloads for Azure-native services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Event Hub.

- Perform lift-and-shift as well as modernization strategies for Cloudera-based big data platforms.

- Ensure data security, compliance, and high availability during migration.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Application, Database, Security, Infra, and Data Engineers) to ensure smooth migration.

- Provide post-migration support, performance tuning, and cost optimization on Azure.

Mandatory Skills :

- Proven experience in end-to-end Azure migration projects.

- Deep knowledge of Cloudera/Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, Impala, HDFS, Spark, Kafka, HBase, Oozie,

etc.).

- Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, Event Hub, HDInsight).

- Strong understanding of cloud governance, cost management, and compliance.

- Scripting/Automation skills with PowerShell, Python, or Terraform.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
