Cloud Managed Service Engineer - IAC Terraform

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on GCP architecture, operations, and optimization.

- Deploy and manage cloud services using Terraform (IaC).

- Implement and manage cloud monitoring, define alert thresholds, and coordinate incident responses.

- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and work with relevant teams to resolve incidents.

- Implement cloud security controls as per InfoSec guidelines.

- Work closely with audit teams to ensure closure of compliance findings post-implementation.

- Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards such as : CIS, GDPR, PCI DSS, SOC2, DMZ, MBSS

- Manage authentication & authorization frameworks including IAM, RBAC, and identity lifecycle processes.

- Ensure cloud environments follow best practices in configuration, security hardening, and data protection.

- Build automation solutions for cloud processes, monitoring, patching, deployment, and compliance.

- Drive standardization of cloud governance and operational workflows.

- Automate routine tasks and cloud resource provisioning through scripts and IaC.

- Create and maintain Golden AMIs and ensure periodic patching of base images.

- Manage AMI distribution and access updates across multiple accounts and teams.

- Generate reports, dashboards, and data as required by Cloud CoE, security, and audit teams.

- Maintain clear documentation for architectures, procedures, policies, and audit evidence.

- Track SLAs, compliance status, system performance, alerts, and capacity metrics.

- Work with cross-functional teams including InfoSec, DevOps, Audit, Cloud CoE, and application teams.

- Collaborate with external stakeholders and technology partners for incident handling and solution implementation.

- Communicate recommendations, risks, and resolutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Minimum 8+ years of total experience, with 4+ years of strong hands-on GCP experience.

- Strong foundation in cloud security, cloud networking, and cloud governance.

- Experience working in banking/financial services or other regulated environments.

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex cloud issues.

- Deep understanding of IaaS and PaaS technologies.

- Experience with Terraform, automation scripting, and cloud deployment pipelines.

- Strong background in audit, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.

- Knowledge of authentication & authorization (IAM, RBAC).

- Familiarity with ITIL / service management best practices.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Basic understanding of network, security, and data center architecture.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Professional cloud certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect, GCP Security Engineer, AWS/Azure certifications).

- Experience with container orchestration, CI/CD, and monitoring tools (optional plus).

- Exposure to multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud architectures.
