Cloud Infrastructure Lead - AWS/Azure/GCP

The Job :

We are seeking to identify a Hosting Engineering Lead with min 20 years experience engineering and architecting infrastructure across different types of application stacks from monolith to cloud native solutions. Should have experience building and leading infrastructure engineering teams across infrastructure (focus on Systems Engineering and Cloud)

Key responsibilities :

- Responsible for providing engineering and operational leadership across systems engineering, cloud engineering and other key infrastructure technologies.

- Responsible for driving engineering excellence with a focus on automation and utilising cloud native technologies to modernise company's infrastructure.

- Building and developing the India engineering and operations capabilities alongside global leads.

- Focused on evolving our architecture for scalability, resilience, security and cost optimisation.

- Collaborating across infrastructure towers, solution engineering and business towers to challenge existing architectures, ways of working and tooling to modernise and simplify our technology estate.

- Working and influencing across cross functional teams to deliver outcomes

- Experience working with C-level executives to shape and execute business cases, understanding benefits and deliver outcomes

- Experience driving major cloud migration programmes and major application modernisation programmes with the ability to stay hands on and help drive the technical programme elements.

- Running and delivering key technical platforms to support critical infrastructure.

Your Profile :

An Ideal candidate will have hands on experience in cloud (Preferable AWS or GCP), Kubernetes, Container, Linux and Ci/CD Pipeline along with the below mentioned technical expertise :

Key Technical skills :

- Strong expertise in Systems Engineering (Linux, Windows, Storage)

- Strong expertise in public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure at an enterprise level

- Proficient in automation technologies and concepts surrounding distributed systems, including auto-scaling, resiliency, and performance.

- Strong understanding of fundamental infrastructure technologies including networking, databases, server

- Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools (e.g IaC)

- Experience with cloud-native technologies (serverless, Kubernetes)

- Experience in Finops / Cloud Optimisation

Key soft skills :

- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Ability to build teams and lead large teams

- Ability to work across multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment

- Ability to collaborate effectively and influence cross functional teams

- Passion for staying current with emerging technologies

- Understanding and experience of working within financial markets and operating critical infrastructure (preferred).
