Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - AWS AppStream / WorkSpaces

About the Role :

We are hiring a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in AWS AppStream 2.0 and virtual desktop environments. The role focuses on image lifecycle management, automation, and cloud infrastructure support for enterprise clients in regulated environments (Healthcare domain).

Key Responsibilities :

1. AWS AppStream Image Management :

- Manage end-to-end lifecycle of AppStream image builders, fleets, and stacks

- Execute image pipelines using AWS Step Functions

- Handle image creation, patching, and lifecycle automation

2. Automation & Scripting :

- Work with JSON payloads for pipeline execution

- Use PowerShell, Batch scripts (CreateImage.bat, DestroyBuilder.bat), AWS CLI

- Maintain automation workflows for image build and patching

3. Windows Administration :

- Perform Windows Server administration

- Handle Active Directory (domain join, OU configuration, policies)

- Manage Windows Update patching via CodeBuild automation

4. Networking & Security :

- Configure VPC, subnets, security groups, IAM roles

- Work with Zscaler ZPA / VPN connectivity

- Understand impact of network/security changes in client environments

5. Infrastructure & Monitoring :

- Use Terraform (IaC) for infrastructure configuration

- Manage SNS topics and pipeline notifications

- Monitor image registry and ensure availability

6. Client & Environment Management :

- Gather and manage client details from Salesforce / AWS Console

- Configure environment-specific setups across multiple accounts

7. Documentation :

- Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and configurations in Confluence

Required Skills & Experience :

- 3+ years experience in AWS Cloud

Hands-on with :

- AWS AppStream 2.0 / WorkSpaces

- Step Functions, CodeBuild, IAM, VPC, S3, SNS

- Strong Windows Server & Active Directory knowledge

Experience in scripting :

- PowerShell / AWS CLI / JSON

- Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Good understanding of :

- Networking (Subnets, SGs, VPN/ZPA)

Strong troubleshooting skills for :

- Pipeline failures & image builder issues

Good to Have :

- Experience in Healthcare / HIPAA-compliant environments

- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect / SysOps)

- Experience with Salesforce integrations

- Knowledge of AppStream Fleet Management & Image Registry

- Understanding of event-driven architecture (SNS workflows)
