Job Description

Key Responsibilities :


- Provide operational support and administration for GCP cloud environments, with hands-on experience in GKE, Compute Engine, and related services.

- Design, manage, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure in line with business needs.

- Troubleshoot issues across services and environments, ensuring maximum uptime and performance efficiency.

- Leverage monitoring tools like Stackdriver, CloudWatch, and ELK Stack to proactively identify and resolve system issues.

- Work with DevOps and development teams to deploy cloud-native applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and similar technologies.

- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

- Contribute to automation, configuration management, CI/CD pipeline maintenance, and

process optimization.

- Write scripts using languages such as Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Java, or .NET for automation

and tool integration.

- Support continuous improvement of cloud services, incident response, and system health

monitoring.

- Participate in a 24x7 shift-based environment to ensure reliable operations and quick incident resolution.


Required Skills and Experience :

- 5 - 12 years of IT operational experience in Cloud Infrastructure and Reliability Engineering.

- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration, support, and service deployment.

- Proficient with GCP services, especially GKE, Compute Engine, and Cloud IAM.

- Strong working knowledge of cloud-native monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK, Stackdriver, CloudWatch).

- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies : Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos.

- Scripting and automation experience using Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Java, or .NET.

- Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and DevOps best practices.

- Good communication, analytical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving skills.

- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications :


- GCP Professional certifications (e.g., GCP Cloud Engineer, GCP DevOps Engineer) are a plus.

- Experience working in a global enterprise IT environment with high service availability

expectations.

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps culture.
