Mandatory Skills :

- AWS Services : EMR, S3, IAM, KMS

- Spark : Basic understanding and hands-on experience

- Python : Core concepts, functions, lambda expressions, map/filter/reduce, flatMap, list/array handling, groupBy, aggregate, reduceByKey

- Oracle : Basic query tuning and performance optimization (e.g., using hints for large datasets)

Secondary or Good to Have Skills :

- Experience working in a data engineering or data pipeline environment

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)

- Exposure to big data ecosystems beyond Spark (e.g., Hive, Presto, or Redshift)

- Understanding of data security practices on AWS

Years of Experience : 3 to 5 Years

Job Summary :

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with 35 years of experience to join our team and support cloud-based data processing environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to AWS services (especially EMR), basic knowledge of Spark and Python programming, and a working understanding of Oracle query optimization.

You will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing data workflows on AWS cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and manage cloud-based data processing solutions using AWS EMR, S3, and IAM.

- Write and debug basic Spark jobs for data transformation and analysis.

- Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing using functional programming constructs (map, filter, reduce, etc.)

- Optimize Oracle queries for large data volumes using best practices and hints.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient data workflows.

- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in data processing pipelines
