Cloud Engineer - Azure & AWS

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in AWS and Azure to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions that support enterprise applications and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cloud architecture, deployment, automation, and security, enabling scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

Cloud Architecture & Design :

- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure to meet business and technical requirements.

- Evaluate and recommend cloud services and solutions for performance, scalability, security, and cost optimization.

- Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders to define cloud adoption strategies and migration plans.

Deployment & Automation :

- Deploy, configure, and manage cloud resources including VMs, storage, networking, databases, and serverless services.

- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, or Bicep.

- Automate provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and backups for cloud applications.

Security & Compliance :

- Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, network security, and compliance frameworks.

- Monitor and manage cloud security incidents and vulnerabilities.

- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2, etc.).

Monitoring & Optimization :

- Monitor cloud resource usage and performance using tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, etc.

- Optimize costs by identifying underutilized resources and recommending changes.

- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, availability, and connectivity issues in the cloud environment.

Migration & Integration :

- Plan and execute cloud migration projects from on-premises or other cloud platforms.

- Integrate cloud solutions with on-premises systems, APIs, and third-party services.

Collaboration & Documentation :

- Collaborate with DevOps, development, and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment and maintenance of cloud solutions.

- Maintain detailed documentation of cloud architectures, processes, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3 to 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, architecture, or administration.

- Hands-on expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM, VPC) and Azure (VMs, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, ARM templates, AD).

- Strong understanding of cloud networking, storage, compute, security, and serverless architectures.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep).

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

- Proficiency in monitoring, logging, alerting, and cost optimization in cloud environments.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and multi-cloud strategies.

- Knowledge of cloud governance, cost management, and tagging strategies.

- Experience with advanced security solutions (WAF, KMS, Security Hub, Azure Security Center).

- Familiarity with AI/ML workloads, data lakes, or big data solutions on cloud platforms.

- Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate.
