Job Title : Remote Cloud Engineer.
Location : Remote.
Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Remote Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud service providers (primarily AWS, Azure, or GCP), infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and automation tools. This role is remote and requires strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of services.
- Automate cloud provisioning, deployment, and configuration tasks.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to align cloud architecture with application requirements.
- Develop and enforce best practices for cloud security, cost optimization, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
- Document cloud architectures, standards, and procedures.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, ELK stack).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud governance.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate).
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Background in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure automation.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
