Role summary :

We are hiring a Cloud Data Architect to help design, build and run our Cloud Data Platform (CDP). You will work with application engineers and cross-functional IT & business teams to define architecture, improve performance, and deliver a scalable CDP consumed by multiple business technology teams.

Responsibilities :

- Architect, build, manage and support the Cloud Data Platform (CDP).

- Collaborate with application engineers and other IT & business units to understand cloud architecture and integration points.

- Identify and implement performance improvements (query performance, storage, ingestion, processing).

- Define and enforce data architecture standards, security controls and best practices.

- Design data pipelines, metadata management, data cataloguing and governance patterns.

- Troubleshoot production issues, run capacity planning and cost optimization exercises.

- Produce architecture diagrams, design docs and high-quality handoffs to engineering teams.

Must-have skills :

- Strong experience designing and operating Cloud Data Platforms (CDP) on AWS / Azure / GCP.

- Hands-on with data lake / data warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks or equivalent).

- Solid understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security and cost optimization.

- SQL expertise and performance tuning experience.

- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
