Role : Cloud Automation Architect

About the Role :

ConglomerateIT is looking for a Cloud Automation Architect with strong expertise in cloud-based automation strategy, framework architecture, AWS and Infrastructure as Code. The ideal candidate should combine deep hands-on automation expertise with the ability to design scalable solutions and lead automation initiatives end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design cloud-based automation strategies and reusable automation frameworks.

- Lead automation initiatives from architecture and design through production delivery.

- Build scalable, reusable and production-grade automation solutions.

- Design reusable Terraform modules for AWS networking, IAM, EKS, ECS, RDS and security controls.

- Integrate Terraform with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, including testing, linting, drift detection and policy enforcement.

- Design serverless and event-driven automation using Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, S3 triggers and Systems Manager.

- Develop cross-account automation across AWS Organizations and support multi-account networking.

- Align automation and cloud architecture with CIS, NIST and AWS Well-Architected standards.

- Implement security/compliance automation, vulnerability remediation, infrastructure hardening and certificate lifecycle management.

- Integrate security automation with CyberArk, AWS Secrets Manager and SSM Parameter Store.

- Develop production-grade automation using Python, Bash or PowerShell.

- Collaborate with engineering, security and infrastructure teams to deliver automation initiatives end-to-end.

Mandatory Requirements :

- 8+ years of total IT experience, with the last 6 years continuously focused on hands-on automation, automation strategy and framework architecture.

- Hands-on expertise building automation using industry-standard tools and frameworks.

- Proven record designing scalable automation solutions and leading automation initiatives end-to-end.

- Deep Terraform expertise with reusable modules covering AWS networking, IAM, EKS, ECS, RDS and security controls.

- CI/CD integration using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, including automated testing, linting, drift detection and policy enforcement.

- Strong AWS architecture knowledge covering Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, S3 triggers and Systems Manager.

- Strong IAM design, cross-account automation across AWS Organizations and multi-account networking.

- Knowledge of CIS, NIST and AWS Well-Architected standards.

- Security and compliance automation experience including CIS benchmark enforcement, vulnerability remediation, infrastructure hardening and certificate lifecycle management.

- Experience integrating with CyberArk, AWS Secrets Manager and SSM Parameter Store.

- Proficiency in Python, Bash or PowerShell with proven ability to build production-grade automation frameworks end-to-end.

- Current designation must include "Architect".

Preferred Skills :

- Policy-as-code : OPA, Gatekeeper, Conftest.

- IaC testing : Molecule, Terratest, Checkov, tfsec.

- Multi-account AWS automation.

- Service mesh : Istio or Linkerd.

- ITSM integration such as SymphonyAI or equivalent for ticketing, approval flows, CMDB updates and change management.
