Cloud Architect - BPM/Appian

Key Responsibilities :

- Cloud-Native Design: Design and advise on cloud-native DR strategies and automation approaches for SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS environments.

- Assessment & Planning: Assess current cloud DR readiness and recommend provider-specific recovery plans (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Dependency Mapping: Identify and document interdependencies across cloud services, applications, and infrastructure layers.

- Automation & Orchestration: Define and guide automation frameworks for DR testing, orchestration, and failover processes.

- Technical Leadership: Provide architectural guidance for Appian platform deployments, including scalability, performance optimization, and security compliance.

- Workshops & Enablement: Conduct technical workshops, knowledge transfer sessions, and best practice reviews for cloud and Appian teams.

- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (cloud ops, development, and infrastructure) to align DR strategies with enterprise resilience objectives.

- Documentation: Create detailed architecture diagrams, DR runbooks, and technical design documents.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 1015 years of total IT experience, with 5+ years in Appian architecture and design.

- Proven expertise in Appian BPM platform (Appian Cloud or self-managed).

- Strong experience designing high availability, backup, and disaster recovery solutions in AWS / Azure / GCP.

- Deep understanding of Appian architecture, Appian integration frameworks, and API-based connectivity.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins).

- Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach
