Job Title : QA Engineer - Automation (Playwright & Cypress)
Location : Bengaluru, India
Experience : 8-10 years (with 3+ years in a lead QA role)
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the QA efforts for IT automation platforms ensuring high reliability and performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Cypress.
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and regression cycles.
- Conduct performance and load testing to evaluate system scalability.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure seamless CI/CD integration.
- Maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test data, and bug reports.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and participate in code reviews for test automation.
- Continuously improve test coverage, execution speed, and reliability of test suites.
Required Skills & Qualifications
-Mandatory experience with Playwright and Cypress for UI and end-to-end automation.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript for writing test scripts.
- Proficiency in manual testing techniques and test case design.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, and test management tools like Zephyr or TestRail.
- Experience with - CI/CD tools- (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Solid understanding of - SQL- for data validation and backend testing.
- Strong analytical and - problem-solving skills- with attention to detail.
- Experience working in - Agile/Scrum- environments.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Exposure to - API testing- using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Experience with - performance testing tools- such as JMeter or Locust.
- Knowledge of - cloud platforms- (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team.
