1. Purpose of the Role :

To design, build, and operate CIMETs workflow automation ecosystem, enabling scalable automation of internal operations, provider integrations, and cross-system processes.

This role focuses on eliminating manual operational workflows by leveraging modern automation tools, backend systems, and AI-driven orchestrationtransforming business processes into reliable, event-driven systems.

2. Key Responsibilities :

Workflow Automation & Process Orchestration :

- Design and implement end-to-end automated workflows for operational processes (sales submissions, validations, document handling, etc.).

- Translate manual Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) into scalable, deterministic automation pipelines.

- Implement robust workflow logic including conditional branching, dynamic data handling, retries, and idempotency guarantees.

System Integrations & Automation Layer :

- Build and integrate with internal and external systems (CRMs, LMS, provider APIs, databases, and storage).

- Develop API-first automation services using Node.js / NestJS.

- Implement webhooks, event-driven pipelines, and asynchronous job processing to ensure seamless data movement.

Automation Platform Development :

- Contribute to the internal orchestration layer, including workflow registries and execution engines.

- Build monitoring dashboards and audit logs for full traceability.

- Develop UI tools using React/Vite for workflow configuration and operational control.

AI-Assisted & Agentic Automation :

- Leverage LLMs (Claude, GPT, etc.) to interpret semi-structured inputs (documents, portals, emails).

- Build agentic workflows that combine hard rules with AI reasoning for intelligent decision-making.

- Implement validation layers and fallback mechanisms to manage AI hallucination risks.

3. Technical Ecosystem :

The candidate should be familiar with or capable of working across the following categories :

- Low-Code / No-Code : n8n (Preferred), Zapier, Make, Pipedream

- Orchestration : Temporal, Apache Airflow, Prefect, Dagster

- Messaging & Queues : BullMQ, Redis, Apache Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS

- AI & Agents : LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, OpenAI/Claude APIs

- Infrastructure : AWS (Lambda, S3, Step Functions), EKS

4. Requirements & Qualifications :

Core Requirements :

- 5+ years in fullstack engineering, backend systems, or automation engineering.

- Expertise in Node.js / TypeScript and API design.

- Proven experience with event-driven architectures and complex conditional workflows.

- Native AI Capability (Mandatory) : Daily usage of AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude) and experience integrating LLM APIs into production systems.

Highly Valued Skills :

- Experience with React / Vite for building internal dashboards.

- Proficiency in browser automation (Playwright / Puppeteer).

- Familiarity with BPMN or process modeling.

- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
