CICS System Programmer - Mainframe

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure and maintain CICS regions, define and manage CICS RDO resources, and ensure high availability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex CICS issues, performance bottlenecks, and system abends.

- Collaborate with other system programmers, application teams, and infrastructure groups for smooth operations.

- Modify and maintain CICS configurations to support evolving business requirements.

- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices for mainframe operations.

- Support disaster recovery, system monitoring, and preventive maintenance activities.

Mandatory Skills :

- z/OS Administration

- Mainframe Enterprise COBOL

- Mainframe DB2

- CICS Admin

- Experience with CICS RDO, SMP/E, and resource definitions

Additional Skills (Preferred) :

- Proficiency with JCL, REXX, VSAM, Endevor, CA7, and z/OS Explorer

- Experience using ServiceNow for ticketing and change management

- Understanding of z/OS Connect (nice to have)

- Familiarity with batch scheduling and automation tools

- Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills
