Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create comprehensive and well-structured manual test cases.

- Execute test cases across various platforms (web, mobile, desktop) to identify bugs, performance issues, and inconsistencies.

- Document and report bugs clearly in a bug tracking system and track them through resolution.

- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product teams to clarify requirements and troubleshoot issues.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum processes.

- Perform regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test plans, test scenarios, and test data.

- Provide quality metrics and insights to stakeholders and recommend improvements.

- Mentor junior testers and assist in defining QA best practices and standards.


Required Skills & Qualifications :


- 5+ years of experience in manual testing in a structured QA environment.

- Strong understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC.

- Hands-on experience with test case management and bug tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla, or similar.

- Experience testing web applications, mobile applications, and APIs (using tools like Postman).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills both verbal and writtento effectively document issues and communicate with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative Agile team environment.


- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with knowledge of sprint cycles and ceremonies.

- Familiarity with SQL and ability to validate data in backend systems is a plus.

- Exposure to basic automation concepts or tools is a bonus (e.g., Selenium, Postman scripting, etc.


Preferred Qualifications :


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is a plus.

- Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform testing practices.

- Basic understanding of API testing and performance testing tools
