Role Overview :

We are hiring a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technology strategy and delivery for our Global Capability Center (GCC) in Mumbai, supporting a global accounting and advisory services organization. The CTO will primarily drive the design, development, and enhancement of internal digital products (80%), while also ensuring effective oversight of core IT infrastructure and security operations (20%).

This is a high-impact leadership role that combines product innovation, technology governance, and people development to scale digital capabilities in the areas of taxation, accounting automation, financial compliance, and client engagement platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

Product & Engineering Leadership (80%) :

- Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of internal fintech platforms used for global tax, audit, accounting, and financial planning services

- Drive cloud-native product development with a focus on scalability, automation, analytics, and user experience

- Collaborate with business, product, and compliance teams to convert complex financial workflows into digital tools

- Oversee cross-functional teams working on application development, DevOps, QA, and data integration

- Promote modern engineering practices (Agile, CI/CD, TDD, API-first, Microservices) and enterprise architecture standards

- Develop talent pipelines and mentor engineering leads across product pods

Infrastructure & Security Oversight (20%) :

- Ensure robust infrastructure governance for the GCC including endpoint security, access controls, and secure data handling in line with global compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO, GDPR)

- Liaise with global infrastructure teams to support cloud cost optimization, continuity planning, and tech vendor management

- Oversee IT support and systems performance for all India-based teams

Required Qualifications :

- 15+ years in technology with 5+ years in product engineering leadership roles within fintech, professional services, or SaaS organizations

- Proven experience in building internal enterprise applications focused on accounting, tax compliance, or financial reporting

- Strong technical background in cloud architecture (Azure preferred), application security, DevOps, and analytics platforms

- Prior experience working with US GAAP, tax engines, or accounting software systems is highly preferred

- Effective stakeholder engagement skills across global, cross-cultural teams

- Masters or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
