POSITION OVERVIEW :

Title : Chief Technology Officer & Chief AI Officer (CTO & CAIO)

Reports To : Group Management / Board

Location : Jakarta, Indonesia

Type : Full-Time | Permanent | C-Suite

Experience 12+ Years in Technology Leadership; 3+ Years as CTO / CAIO / VP Engineering

Industry : Diversified Conglomerate - Manufacturing, Commerce, FMCG & Services

Education : B. Tech / M. Tech / B.Sc. Computer Science or Engineering (required); AI/ML highly desirable

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION :

It is a diversified business group headquartered in Jakarta, operating across manufacturing, FMCG, commercial services, and multiple other industries. The Group is actively pursuing digital transformation and AI-led operational improvements. This is a strategic replacement hire - the incoming CTO & CAIO will inherit a portfolio of active AI and digital programmes and is expected to accelerate the Group's technology maturity from day one.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Own and execute the Group's technology and AI strategy across all business units

- Lead the ongoing AI/ML programme portfolio - quality control automation, predictive asset management, network monitoring, and inventory systems

- Architect and govern IT infrastructure - shared services model, cloud platforms, network, and server operations

- Drive manufacturing digitalisation : AI-powered QC, QR/IoT-based inventory, and production floor automation

- Design and deploy predictive AI models for IT asset lifecycle and infrastructure risk management

- Lead digital transformation initiatives - replacing manual processes with scalable, intelligent workflows

- Build, lead, and scale cross-functional technology teams across engineering, AI/ML, IT ops, and QA

- Establish AI governance, data ethics, model monitoring, and responsible deployment standards

- Manage technology budget, vendor relationships, SLAs, and cloud platform contracts

- Report technology strategy, programme status, and risk landscape to the Group CEO and Board

ACTIVE AI & DIGITAL PROGRAMMES - IMMEDIATE HANDOVER :

- AI Asset Management System - predicting IT asset availability and warranty expiration

- Manufacturing Quality Control AI - 90% accuracy target; manpower reduction from 9 to 1 FTE

- Predictive Network & Server Monitoring - 6-month forward risk alerts across Group IT

- QR-Based Inventory Management - real-time tracking across manufacturing facilities

- Shared Services IT Transformation - consolidating Group IT into a unified service model

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :

- 12+ years in technology leadership; 3+ years at CTO, CAIO, or VP Engineering level

- Proven production AI/ML delivery - computer vision, predictive analytics, or process automation

- Experience leading IT shared services model design and implementation

- Cloud platform management - AWS, Azure, and/or GCP in enterprise environments

- Manufacturing or industrial technology experience - OT systems, IoT, shop-floor digitalisation

- Data engineering and analytics platform design at scale

- Strong track record in engineering team building, mentoring, and performance management

- Background in banking, fintech, or structured enterprise environments is advantageous

- Comfortable with AI governance, model explainability, and responsible AI frameworks

- MBA preferred; PhD in AI/ML is a significant differentiator

- Entrepreneurial mindset with delivery discipline in multi-business-unit environments. Experience in Southeast Asian markets, particularly Indonesia, is strongly preferred
