Position Description :

We are seeking an experienced Lead QA Automation Engineer to lead enterprise automation initiatives using Playwright and Cursor AI. The successful candidate will define automation strategy, architect scalable automation frameworks, establish engineering standards, mentor automation teams, and drive AI-powered quality engineering practices across multiple Agile teams. This is a leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, stakeholder management, and experience delivering automation solutions for large-scale enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and implement enterprise automation strategy using Playwright.

- Architect scalable, reusable automation frameworks and engineering standards.

- Lead automation delivery across multiple Agile teams and business applications.

- Drive adoption of Cursor AI for automation development, code generation, debugging, and productivity improvements.

- Establish automation best practices, coding standards, and governance.

- Lead framework reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions.

- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.

- Monitor automation metrics, coverage, execution stability, and quality KPIs.

- Mentor and coach automation engineers and technical leads.

- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Engineering Managers, and Business Stakeholders.

- Drive continuous improvement and innovation using AI-assisted engineering practices.

- Support release planning, production readiness, and quality governance.

Mandatory Skills :

- 8 - 12 years of experience in Software Testing and Automation.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in automation framework design and technical leadership.

- Expert-level experience with Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.

- Hands-on experience with Cursor AI or similar AI-assisted engineering tools.

- Strong experience designing scalable automation frameworks.

- Experience with API automation and microservices testing.

- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD.

- Experience leading distributed automation teams.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Experience working in Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Delivery environments.

Preferred Experience :

- Experience supporting : Large Digital Transformation Programs, Retail & Commerce Platforms, Enterprise SaaS Applications, Cloud-native Applications, API & Integration Testing, Cross-browser and Cross-platform Testing.

- Exposure to : Azure Cloud, Docker & Kubernetes, Performance Engineering, Accessibility Testing, Test Data Management, AI-assisted Software Engineering.
