Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly hands-on Lead DevOps Engineer with deep Terraform coding expertise and strong AWS knowledge.

Terraform is critical to this project and is involved in almost every PR. The role requires someone who can independently write, evolve, and optimize Terraform code not just consume pre-built modules.

This position involves infrastructure evolution, CI/CD automation, FinOps monitoring, security remediation, and close collaboration with development teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Terraform & Infrastructure as Code (Core Focus)

- Evolution and refactoring of Terraform (IaC) code to incorporate :

1. Architectural changes

2. Configuration updates

3. AWS service updates

4. Enhancements to internal/shared modules

- Write reusable Terraform modules from scratch

- Handle advanced Terraform logic (dynamic blocks, for_each, locals, functions)

- Work with JSON/YAML inputs using Terraform functions (e.g., jsondecode)

- Manage Terraform remote state and backend configurations

- Participate in Terraform-heavy pull request reviews

AWS Cloud & Infrastructure :

- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS services

- Infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management

- User access management and IAM governance

- Implementation of DigitalPlatform infrastructure recommendations

- (AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification is a plus)

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on Terraform coding experience (HCL, modules, dynamic blocks, functions)

- Ability to independently write Terraform logic (not just reuse modules)

- Strong AWS expertise

- CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions preferred)

- Scripting : Python and/or Bash

- Docker & Kubernetes

- Solid understanding of :

1. Networking

2. IAM

3. Security best practices

4. Cloud identity management

Ideal Candidate Profile :

- Experience in environments where Terraform changes are part of almost every PR

- Comfortable debugging Terraform plans and resolving apply failures

- Strong ownership mindset

- Experience working in production-grade AWS environments
