Role Overview:

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Java Application Development team based in Chennai, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust enterprise-grade applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, business analysts, and global stakeholders, to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Your work will directly influence the performance and reliability of mission-critical systems, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality, secure, and efficient software products that drive their business objectives forward.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and develop high-performance Java-based applications to meet specific client requirements and business objectives.

- Implement scalable microservices using Spring Boot to enhance system modularity and maintainability for enterprise clients.

- Optimize complex SQL queries and database schemas to ensure high data integrity and application responsiveness.

- Collaborate with development teams to manage code versioning and integration workflows using Github to ensure seamless deployment cycles.

- Track project progress, manage technical tasks, and resolve issues efficiently using Jira to maintain alignment with project timelines and quality standards.

- Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor junior team members to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in J2EE and Spring Boot frameworks for building and deploying large-scale enterprise applications.

- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management, with the ability to design efficient data models.

- Proven experience in managing source code and collaborative development workflows using Github.

- Proficiency in using Jira for agile project management, task tracking, and defect resolution.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating strong self-management and team collaboration skills.

- A minimum of 4 to 6 years of professional experience in software development, preferably within a consulting or product engineering environment.
