Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Snowflake Data Engineer to join our data engineering team. This role requires a deep understanding of Snowflake's core components including Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks, as well as strong experience with query profiling, data pipeline orchestration, and performance tuning. The ideal candidate will also possess a solid foundation in Python, PySpark or Snowpark, and data integration tools such as ADF, AWS Glue, or DBT.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage data pipelines using Snowflake, incorporating Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks for near real-time ingestion and transformation

- Leverage Query Profiling and execution metrics for performance tuning and optimization

- Develop and maintain transformation logic using PySpark or Snowpark, integrated with Python

- Implement clustering keys and partition strategies to enhance data pruning and query performance

- Integrate data from multiple sources using ADF, AWS Glue, or DBT

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data availability, quality, and governance

- Participate in code reviews, deployment, and production support for Snowflake-based solutions

Mandatory Skills :

- Hands-on experience with Snowpipe for automated data ingestion

- Strong understanding of Streams & Tasks for data change capture and orchestration

- Expertise in Query Profiling and Snowflake performance tuning

- Proficiency in Python, and either PySpark or Snowpark

- Experience with clustering keys and partition pruning techniques in Snowflake

- Proven work with ADF, AWS Glue, or DBT for data pipeline development

Certifications :

- SnowPro Core Certification (Must have)

- AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty

Nice to Have :

- Experience with CI/CD practices for data workflows

- Familiarity with data lakehouse or data mesh architecture

- Exposure to real-time data processing and event-driven architectures
