Position Overview :
This role is designed for a senior engineering professional with deep expertise in CENELEC standards, RAMS methodologies, and safety-critical rail systems. The mandate focuses on strengthening system integrity, compliance assurance, and verification frameworks across complex transportation engineering programs.
You will play a key role in driving system engineering, safety validation, and cross-functional technical governance while ensuring alignment with stringent regulatory and operational expectations. The position requires balancing technical depth with stakeholder collaboration in environments where reliability and precision are non-negotiable.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead compliance activities aligned with EN 50126, EN 50128/50657, and EN 50129 standards
- Drive RAMS, hazard analysis, SIL, and safety lifecycle engineering initiatives
- Support system architecture reviews, requirements traceability, and interface analysis
- Develop and oversee V&V strategies, testing frameworks, and safety assessments
- Review technical documentation, safety cases, and engineering deliverables
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and customer stakeholders across program milestones
- Contribute to audits, technical reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
Education & Experience Requirements :
- Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related disciplines
- Experience : 12+ years within rail systems engineering, signalling, onboard, or safety-critical environments
- Special : Exposure to SIL4, functional safety frameworks, global engineering programs, or large-scale systems integration preferred
Essential Skills & Competencies :
- Technical / Functional : CENELEC EN 5012x, RAMS, V&V, DOORS, Polarion, JIRA, MATLAB/Simulink, safety case development
