Database Engineer : SDE III

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage high-performance, scalable, and reliable databases (RDBMS and NoSQL systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, ScyllaDB, Cassandra, BigQuery).

- Automate database deployments using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform).

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data storage needs and optimize schema, queries, and indexes.

- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure database availability and performance (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

- Ensure data security and compliance by applying encryption, access controls, and auditing mechanisms.

- Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery strategy, and backup solutions.

- Proactively analyze database slowdowns and optimize query performance and resource utilization.

- 6- 9 years of hands-on experience in Database /SQL developer/Engineering roles.

- Proficiency in one or more of the following : PostgreSQL, MySQL, ScyllaDB, Cassandra, BigQuery, MongoDB, MS-Sql.

- Strong understanding of data modeling, indexing strategies, replication, sharding, and consistency models.

- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and cloud-native database solutions.

- Knowledge of SQL performance tuning and query optimization tools.

- Experience working with Kafka, Airflow, Dataflow, or other data pipeline orchestration tools is a plus.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices, shell scripting, and version control (Git)
