Role Overview :

As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in enabling Agile delivery by facilitating ceremonies, enforcing Scrum principles, and ensuring alignment with product goals. You will act as a servant leader to the Product Owner, Development Team, and the wider organisation, driving continuous improvement and fostering a high-performance delivery culture. The role requires a deep technical appreciation of software delivery pipelines, Agile tooling, and distributed systems collaboration.

Key Responsibilities :

Agile Facilitation & Delivery Enablement :

- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) with an emphasis on outcome-driven execution.

- Ensure Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) are clearly established and adhered to.

- Drive sprint predictability by tracking velocity, burn-down/burn-up charts, and other Agile delivery metrics.

- Partner with Release Managers/DevOps teams to align sprint outputs with CI/CD pipelines and release calendars.

Coaching & Agile Maturity Development :

- Coach cross-functional teams (Developers, QA, Product Owners, Business Analysts) on Agile best practices, scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, or Spotify model), and technical collaboration.

- Enable engineering teams to adopt Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment practices.

- Conduct Agile maturity assessments and build tailored improvement roadmaps for teams.

Impediment Resolution & Risk Management :

- Identify, log, and resolve impediments spanning technical blockers, dependencies, and resource constraints.

- Proactively manage risks by collaborating with Product Owners and Release Managers to address scope creep, integration challenges, or architectural bottlenecks.

- Escalate systemic issues and collaborate with leadership to drive long-term resolutions.

Stakeholder & Product Alignment :

- Work closely with Product Owners on backlog refinement, ensuring epics and user stories are properly groomed with acceptance criteria and business value mapping.

- Maintain alignment with business stakeholders by tracking delivery against OKRs, KPIs, and value-driven metrics.

- Foster transparency through Agile reporting dashboards (JIRA, Confluence, Rally, or Azure DevOps).

Culture & Continuous Improvement :

- Foster a psychologically safe, high-trust environment that encourages innovation and accountability.

- Facilitate cross-team syncs to manage dependencies in scaled Agile environments.

- Implement feedback loops to continuously improve team productivity, quality, and throughput.

Mandatory Skills :

- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master across multiple Agile teams.

- In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and scaling practices.

- Strong facilitation skills in conflict resolution, servant leadership, and Agile adoption.

- Hands-on experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Rally, Azure DevOps) including custom workflow/report setup.

- Familiarity with software development lifecycles, DevOps practices, and Agile testing frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, PSM I/II, or PMI-ACP certification.

- Experience managing distributed teams across geographies and time zones.

- Technical background in software engineering, QA automation, or DevOps preferred.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, API integrations, and cloud-based development workflows (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
