Job Overview :

We're looking for a skilled SDET Automation Test Engineer with experience in the Banking domain to join our team in Bangalore. You'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks, designing comprehensive test cases, and writing code to enhance testability for our critical banking applications. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can identify and track defects, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and ensure the performance and reliability of software within a regulated financial environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks, scripts, and tools using programming languages and testing frameworks.

- Design and implement comprehensive test cases to cover various software functionalities, scenarios, and edge cases specific to banking applications.

- Write clean and efficient code to improve application testability, generate synthetic test data, and automate complex testing processes.

- Identify, report, and meticulously track software defects, collaborating closely with development teams for timely resolution.

- Work closely with development, QA, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure high quality and meet stringent project requirements within the banking sector.

- Conduct thorough performance and scalability testing of banking software applications to ensure they meet non-functional requirements under various loads.

- Set up and maintain stable and representative test environments for accurate and reliable testing.

- Document test cases, test results, and identified defects clearly and concisely, generating comprehensive reports for stakeholders.

- Develop and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to integrate automated testing seamlessly into the software delivery lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5 - 8 years of experience as an SDET or Automation Test Engineer.

- Proven experience working within the Banking domain, understanding financial products, banking processes, or related systems.

- Strong hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.

- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language for writing automation scripts and tools.

- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, and defect lifecycle management.

- Experience with common automation testing tools and performance testing tools.

- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and experience with relevant tools.

- Strong knowledge of SQL for database testing.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
