Caliber Technologies - Senior Business Analyst - Python/SQL

Key Responsibilities :

- Work closely with product managers and analytics leads to translate business requirements into data driven insights and product modules.

- Provide end-to-end analytics support including data extraction, transformation, validation, and visualization using Python, SQL, and Excel.

- Perform root cause analysis and resolve data and process-related issues effectively.

- Create comprehensive business documentation, including process maps, user stories, use cases, and impact assessments.

- Interface directly with internal and external stakeholders for requirement gathering, prioritization, and delivery tracking.

- Conduct data quality checks, detect anomalies, and implement automated reporting pipelines.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to build APIs and integrate data pipelines when necessary.

- Work in an agile environment, supporting multiple initiatives and product modules simultaneously.

- Assist in ideation, experimentation, and abstract problem-solving to improve existing processes and features.

Technical Skills & Tools :

- Strong proficiency in Python for data wrangling, scripting, and analytics

- Advanced SQL skills for data querying, transformation, and analysis

- Strong knowledge of MS Excel for data modeling, dashboards, and scenario planning

- Understanding of basic statistics and statistical modeling techniques

- Experience working with GitHub and version control workflows

- Exposure to API development and integration (advantageous)

- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)

Preferred Domain Experience :

- Prior experience in retail analytics or working on retail-focused products

- Understanding of demand forecasting, product lifecycle management, and customer behavior modeling

- Hands-on experience with SaaS platforms, especially in a product-oriented setup

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related technical discipline

- 7- 8 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst / Data Analyst in a fast-paced, data-driven environment

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent stakeholder management capabilities

- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, solve abstract problems, and work under pressure
