SharePoint Developer

Job Description :

The SharePoint (SP) Developer role is required to work with the SharePoint team to support, configure, develop, test and document the Sharepoint requirements for the management of information and business processes together with the exchange of data to enable a collaborative solution for both internal and external clients. The SharePoint Developer will work closely with the SharePoint Architect to deliver a completed solution for a specific task.

Requirements :

- 20 hours per week

- SharePoint development experience in SharePoint-2019 on-premises and SharePoint Online.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps.

Responsibilities of the Role :

Advise and Train :

- As a member of the SharePoint team, the SP-Developer will participate in team meetings, as required. This includes attending client meetings and design sessions and being available to SharePoint team members for consultation.

- As a member of the SharePoint team, the SP-Developer will report directly to the SharePoint Architect.

Design, Develop and Test :

- Work with the SP-Architect to design and implement SP solutions that meet clients internal and external requirements, and ensure the solution complies with documented network and security requirements.

- Support the SP-Architect and contribute to design, develop, test and implement SP tasks and solutions that are clearly documented.

Provide Technical Assistance to the Team and the Business :

- Provide technical and analytical guidance to develop and define business and technical requirements and solution designs as part of defined projects.

- Implement SharePoint system solutions, including programming backend and frontend components to implement or extend the SharePoint environment/system capabilities.

- Work with SP-Architect to define, develop and implement business process management e.g. workflow and electronic forms.

Required Knowledge & Skills :

Technical Skills Required :

- SharePoint development experience in SharePoint-2019 on premises and SharePoint Online, required.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps.

- Working understanding of web services design, development and implementation.

- Experience of SharePoint security and networking configurations, preferred.

- Experience with creating and modifying master layout pages, web parts and other components, preferred.

- Experience and knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services, preferred.

- Experience and knowledge of Internet Information Services, preferred.

Business Skills Required :

- Ability to complete tasks within agreed-to work effort.

- Ability to manage client conversations via MS Teams and to respond to technical queries.

- Self-motivated.

Preferred / Desired Skills :

- Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Frameworks.

- Familiarity with any of the following: JavaScript, CSS HTML, XHTML, XML, XSLT, jQuery, Ajax, SQL Server, SOAP/XML Web Services or other web development technologies

- Knowledge of PowerShell Ability to brainstorm and solve complex software issues.

- Experience with Web/Portal structure and design, development, content management, usability, user experience interface design and navigation.

- Experience with documentation and/or technical writing
