Job Description
:

We are hiring an experienced C/C++ System Software Engineer for a niche platform-side role in the storage, backup/recovery, virtualization, and data protection space. This is not a generic application development position. We are looking for candidates who have built or maintained system-level software in environments involving storage platforms, cloud-integrated solutions, backup/recovery systems, VMware/virtualization, or data protection products.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on core software modules, understanding platform behavior, and contributing to reliable, testable, performance-aware systems.

Key Responsibilities
:

- Design, develop, and enhance system-level software using C/C++

- Work on modules related to storage, backup/recovery, virtualization, cloud solutions, and data protection

- Contribute to software quality through unit testing and integration testing

- Participate in debugging, validation, and performance-aware development

- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on platform functionality and reliability

- Support continuous improvement of engineering practices, automation, and code quality

Required Skills
:

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in C/C++

- Strong experience in system-level programming

- Domain experience in one or more of the following
:

1. storage

2. backup and recovery

3. data protection

4. cloud solutions

5. virtualization / VMware

- Good understanding of unit testing and integration testing

- Basic understanding of performance/load testing

Preferred Skills
:

- Exposure to Python

- Exposure to Pytest

- Some automation experience in engineering/test workflows
