This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai for a Sr. Business Analyst - Data & Analytics. As a Sr. Business Analyst, you will be responsible for leading the analysis of complex data sets and business processes to identify key insights and drive data-informed decision-making for our clients. You will work closely with stakeholders across various levels to gather, document, and prioritize business and data requirements, and you will play a vital role in supporting the successful implementation of data and analytics solutions.

Responsibilities :

- Lead the analysis of large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and valuable insights.

- Interpret data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.

- Develop a deep understanding of client data sources, structures, and quality.

- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover hidden patterns and opportunities.

- Analyze current business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.

- Document existing and to-be business processes using various modeling techniques (e.g., process flows, UML diagrams).

- Collaborate with stakeholders to design optimized business processes that leverage data and analytics.

- Lead requirements gathering sessions with diverse stakeholders to understand their business needs and data requirements for analytics solutions.

- Elicit, analyze, and clearly document functional and non-functional requirements, including data definitions, data quality rules, reporting needs, and performance expectations.

- Create and maintain comprehensive business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, and other relevant documentation.

- Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and developers to ensure that the proposed data and analytics solutions align with business requirements.

- Participate in the design and validation of data models, ETL processes, and reporting dashboards.

- Support the testing and implementation phases of data and analytics projects.

- Assist in the development of training materials and provide user support as needed.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a liaison between business and technical teams.

- Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations effectively through presentations, reports, and verbal discussions.

- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and drive consensus.

- Contribute to the definition and enforcement of data governance policies and standards.

- Identify and document data quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement data quality improvements.

- Assist project managers in planning and tracking project activities related to data and analytics deliverables.

- Identify and escalate potential risks and issues.

- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in data analytics tools, techniques, and industry best practices.

Qualifications :

- Proven ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions.

- 5 to 8 years of experience working as a Business Analyst, with a significant focus on data and analytics projects.

- Experience in documenting business processes using various methodologies and tools.

- Proven ability to elicit, analyze, and document clear and concise business and data requirements.

- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

- Hands-on experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and understanding of data warehousing concepts.

- Ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex business and data-related problems.

- Ability to Work Collaboratively in an On-Site Environment : Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting, collaborating with colleagues and clients in person.

- Experience in the Software Industry or Related Fields : Prior experience working in the software industry, IT consulting, or with technology-driven data and analytics projects is a significant plus.
