About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in the insurance domain to join our team.
The role requires working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and product owners to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and ensure delivery of solutions aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements for insurance products, processes, and systems.
- Analyze and model business processes (underwriting, claims, policy servicing, billing, regulatory compliance, etc.
- Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements.
- Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Support development and testing teams with clarification of requirements.
- Conduct gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments.
- Assist in UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.
- Stay updated with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and insurance technology trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 3-6years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in the insurance domain (life, health, or general).
- Strong knowledge of insurance processes: policy administration, underwriting, claims, reinsurance, or regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, MS Excel, and other BA tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology preferred.
- Domain certifications (e.g., LOMA, AINS, CPCU) are a plus.
