Job Summary :

We are seeking a versatile Technical Business Analyst with 35 years of experience for a 1-year contract, based on-site in Trivandrum. This role acts as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and IT development teams.

The Analyst must possess a strong foundation in IT and software development to effectively collect and translate complex business needs into clear, actionable software specifications, architectural designs, and testing strategies, ensuring the delivery of scalable IT computer systems and software applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Requirements Engineering and Solution Design :

- Collaborate extensively with stakeholders to thoroughly gather and document software requirements (functional, non-functional, and technical) and identify opportunities for innovative solutions.

- Analyze current business needs and systematically translate them into clear and concise technical software specifications (User Stories, Use Cases, BRDs, FRDs) within a defined scope.

- Employ business process knowledge and a systematic approach to define solutions that enable core business strategies.

- Create system design and architectural diagrams (e.g., UML, sequence diagrams), defining software components, data structures, and algorithms to meet complex project goals.

Technical Collaboration and Quality Assurance :

- Collaborate closely with Software Developers to ensure the implementation of software aligns perfectly with design specifications and best practices.

- Write and maintain code, when necessary, especially for rapid proofs of concept or prototyping efforts using relevant scripting/programming languages.

- Plan and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including functional, non-functional (performance/security), integrations, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Identify, report, and assist in the resolution of bugs and issues, contributing to high-quality deliverables.

Documentation, Leadership, and Process Improvement :

- Act as the bridge between technical and nontechnical teams, facilitating effective and clear communication across all phases of the project.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical guides, design specifications, and user manuals.

- Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance the software development and delivery lifecycle.

- Provide sound leadership within the team, demonstrating guidance, coaching, and motivational abilities, and present findings and progress clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications :

Experience : Mandatory 35 years of experience in the field or in a related area (Technical Business Analysis).

Education : Mandatory Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Skills (Mandatory) :

- Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java) and software development tools (IDEs, version control like Git).

- Knowledge of software design principles and patterns (e.g., MVC, Microservices architecture).

- Familiarity with database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling techniques (e.g., Entity-Relationship Diagrams).

Core Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with established project management methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

- Experience working in a Global environment or with teams in multiple time zones.

- Domain knowledge or experience in Cruise or Travel Industry systems is highly beneficial.

- Strong desire to learn new systems and processes, with a flexible and adaptable approach to change.

- Experience in defining and documenting API specifications (Swagger/OpenAPI) for integrations.
