About the Role :
Head Solutions Engineer.
We are seeking a mission-driven and strategic Head of Solutions Engineering who will own the full end-to-end technical lifecycle, from pre-sales qualification and solution design, through POCs and pilots, all the way to implementation and go-live.
As the Head of Solutions Engineering, you will lead a high-impact team that sits at the intersection of sales, product, engineering, and customer success.
You will shape customer outcomes, influence the roadmap, elevate technical narratives in enterprise conversations, and ensure that Bureau delivers scalable, reliable, and high-performing solutions to its customers.
This is a role for a builder, a strategic thinker, and a leader who thrives in complexity and enjoys solving high-stakes identity and fraud challenges at scale.
What youll be doing.
Pre-Sales :
- Partner with Sales post-discovery to drive demos, POCs, and technical deep dives.
- Understand customer use cases, workflows, and decision drivers.
- Tailor demos and technical narratives to clearly articulate Bureaus business value.
- Translate complex capabilities into simple, compelling customer outcomes.
Solution Design & Architecture :
- Map customer requirements to Bureaus platform capabilities and integrations.
- Recommend scalable architectures, APIs, data flows, and deployment patterns.
- Identify product gaps early and propose configuration-led or architectural solutions.
- Ensure all designs meet standards of performance, compliance, and reliability.
Technical Relationship :
- Become the trusted advisor for customers through the full evaluation and implementation journey.
- Proactively manage technical objections, risks, and dependencies.
- Influence enterprise decision-making by showcasing feasibility, impact, and value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Provide structured field insights to Product around customer demand and roadmap opportunities.
- Work closely with Engineering on POC requirements, technical blockers, and use-case clarity.
- Bridge external needs with internal capabilities to ensure successful delivery.
POC Execution & Implementation Ownership :
- Lead the end-to-end execution of POCs and complex customer integrations.
- Oversee both standard and non-standard implementation flows post-sale.
- Ensure all POCs/implementations are configured for billing, usage tracking, and reporting.
- Publish and manage relevant data in HubSpot, SuperSet, and internal systems.
Post-Sales Enablement & Success :
- Partner with Customer Success to enable smooth onboarding and handoff.
- Support configuration, workflows, dashboards, and risk controls aligned to customer goals.
- Assist clients with API/SDK integration, troubleshooting, and best practices.
Evangelism & Internal Enablement :
- Create reusable demo assets, solution templates, and integration guides.
- Train Sales and GTM teams on Bureaus capabilities and technical positioning.
- Represent Bureau at key customer sessions, webinars, and industry forums.
What Youll Bring :
To shine here, you should have :
- 8+ years in Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, Pre-Sales, or similar roles.
- Strong proficiency in APIs, SDKs, SQL, Python, and data-driven integrations.
- Experience delivering POCs and enterprise implementations end-to-end.
- Ability to simplify complexity and communicate with both technical and business leaders.
- Demonstrated success influencing product decisions and cross-functional teams.
- Solution-oriented, hands-on mindset with ownership across the entire customer lifecycle.
- Experience in fraud, identity verification, risk, security, or fintech is a strong plus.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
