Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Software Development Engineer to join our core engineering team in Bangalore. In this capacity, you will architect, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems that power our global infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams, system architects, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement high-throughput backend services using C++ and STL to ensure optimal performance for mission-critical applications.

- Automate system administration tasks and deployment pipelines by developing sophisticated Python and Shell scripts to improve operational efficiency.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance bottlenecks within Unix-based environments to maintain high availability for end-users.

- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers to uphold high standards of software craftsmanship and architectural integrity across the team.

- Partner with product managers to define technical roadmaps, ensuring that engineering efforts align with long-term business objectives and scalability goals.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated mastery in C++ and the Standard Template Library (STL) for building memory-efficient and high-performance applications.

- Proven ability to navigate, debug, and optimize complex software within Unix/Linux environments, ensuring system stability.

- Proficiency in scripting with Python and Shell to streamline development workflows and automate repetitive infrastructure tasks.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and foster collaborative team dynamics.

- A track record of solving ambiguous technical challenges with a high degree of autonomy, suitable for our fast-paced, hybrid work environment in Bangalore.

- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field, reflecting a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.

- Candidates should possess 5 to 9 years of relevant industry experience in building scalable backend systems.
